The body of an employee of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) was found in a garbage dump within the Khokhrapar police station remits on Monday.Police reached the crime scene after locals found the body wrapped up in a carpet. Responding to the information, rescuers also reached the scene and conveyed the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy where he was identified as 50-year-old man Iqbal Amir, son of Ghulam Ahmed.The deceased was said to be an employee of the KPT and lived in the Clifton area. Police suspected that unidentified persons tortured him to death and later dumped his body at the abandoned place.
