39 held for massive crackdown against criminals in capital

Islamabad :Islamabad Police have arrested 39 persons during the last 24 hours in its crackdown against criminal elements and recovered narcotics, stolen car, gold ornaments, valuable and weapons from them, a police spokesman.Following directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Waqar Ud Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities.Owing these efforts, Aabpar police arrested 03 accused Sultan Zawar, Muhammad Rafique and Imran and recovered 1.010 kilogram heroin and 290 gram hashish from their possession. Secretariat police arrested accused Shahid and recovered one 30-bore pistol along with ammunition.Kohsar police arrested six-drug pusher namely Azik Ishtiq, Shan Masih, Shahid MasihHaroon Qamer, Daved Ilyas and Tariq Masih and recovered 14 bottles and 40 liters wine and 210 gram hashish from their possession.Bhar Kahu police arrested two accused Waqar Hussain and Sheriz and recovered 135 gram heroin and two wine bottles from their possession. Bani Gala police arrested accused Mohsin Arshad and recovered stolen car, while police also arrested a thief and recovered valuable from him.Karachi Company police arrested accused Muhammad Ayub and recovered iron punch. CIA police arrested three accused BEN, Gulfraz and Ishaq and recovered 17 gram kokanee and 110 gram hashish from their possession.Tarnol police arrested accused Noman and recovered one 30-bore pistol. Ramana police arrested accused Taswer Hussain and recovered gold ornament and stolen valuable from him.Shahzad Town police arrested accused Atif Zareen and recovered 12 bore gun from him. Khana police arrested Shahid Ullah and recovered one 30-bore pistol while police also arrested four accused Muhammad Azam, Altaf, Raiz and Asad selling petrol illegally.
