GLASGOW: Three people have been hit by a car which mounted the pavement in an attempted murder after they left a city pub. A man and woman remain in hospital while another man was released after treatment following the incident in Glasgow.The two men, aged 25 and 28, and 63-year-old woman left the Pig ‘n’ Whistle pub on McNeil Street on foot before being struck by a car on Old Rutherglen Road a short time later. Police were called to a disturbance at the pub earlier in the evening and are trying to establish whether the incidents are linked.All three victims were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where the woman and 28-year-old man remain in a stable condition. Detective Sergeant Keith Runcie, of Cathcart Police Office, said: “The car had driven up on to the pavement and therefore we are treating this incident as attempted murder.“Officers had been called to a disturbance at the pub prior to the incident taking place and therefore we are trying to establish whether both incidents are linked. “We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Pig ‘n’ Whistle pub on McNeil Street last night, or who witnessed the incident take place on Old Rutherglen Road to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
