Umair reaches KL Junior Open third round

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Umair Arif reached the third round of 13th KL Junior Open Squash Championships in Malaysia on Tuesday. In the first round of under-11 category, Umair defeated Jayden Li Khai Tan of Malaysia 11-3, 11-9, 11-5. He beat Fang Yhi Lim of Malaysia in the second round. He is now to face Ali H S Al-Khalaf of Qatar in the third round. In the first round of under-13 category, Zohaib Ali Rana was overpowered by Danysh Islee Madzzuki of Malaysia 7-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-8, 9-11. Kumail Tariq was beaten by Hitesh Manoharan of Malaysia 4-11, 4-11, 3-11 in the first round of under-15 category.
