Transformer at Sunder Industrial Estate

LAHORE:Chairman NEPRA, Tauseef H Farooqi, inaugurated 40MW transformer at Sunder Industrial Estate here Friday.In the presence of Syed Nabeel Hashmi, PIEDMC Chairman and Lesco CEO, while talking to media, he assured of full support to the industrialists over supply of affordable electricity through opening of opportunity in a transparent manner.He also participated in the meeting of Board of Directors of Punjab Industrial Estates Development & Management Co (PIEDMC) & Board of Management Sunder Industrial Estate (BOMSIE).Syed Nabeel Hashmi, Chairman PIEDMC, said power plays a vital role in poverty alleviation and job creation, as newly-inaugurated power capacity will provide job opportunities for 15,000 workers at Sunder. He lauded the vision of prime minister and his team for support in resolving all the pending issues. He assured that there would be no shortfall of electricity in Pakistan. Hashmi appreciated the efforts of PIEDMC to overcome energy shortage in Sunder Industrial Estate where more than 600 industrial units are contributing to increase the gross domestic production of the country.It is worth mentioning that there was no outage in all the eight industrial estates being run by PIEDMC because of its successful load management plan.President BOMSIE, Shahzad Azam Khan lauded efforts of Chairman Syed Nabeel Hashmi, Lesco CEO and members of Board of Directors, PIEDMC to resolve energy issue faced by the industries located in Sunder Estate and said that the public private sector venture had successfully rendered national service to business community.
