Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) on Monday organised a speech competition attended by a large number of students from different colleges and universities.The chief guest of the event was former principal of National College, Professor Anees Ahmed Zaidi, while Professor Naushaba Siddiqui hosted the program. A panel of judges included Khalilullah Farooqui, Anwar Azmi, and Talat.According to the judges’ decision, Hasan Raza of Karachi University secured the first prize while Mariam Batool of the Dow University of Medical Sciences and Hafiza Kainat of the NED University of Engineering and Technology got the second and third prize, respectively.In connection with the SSUET’s silver jubilee celebrations, a ghazal night was organised at Sir Syed Tower. Salman Alvi enthralled the audience with his ghazals.
