Dacoits gang busted, valuables and weapons recovered

Islamabad : Islamabad Shalimar police station has busted a gang of dacoits involved in several dacoity incidents and recovered mobiles, cash and other valuables from them snatched at gunpoint, a police spokesman said.He said that Islamabad police have enhanced vigilance in the city following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed. One of the team conducting checking at Sector F-10/4, Nazim Uddin Road tried to stop motorcyclists but they opened fire on police team. One of the motorcyclists got injured by firing of his own accomplices following which police team including SHO Malik Basheer, ASI Muhammad Abdullah and others cordoned off the area following directions of SP (Saddar) Omer Khan and SDPO Shalimar Rana Abdul Wahab.During search operation by the police, three accused were held along with weapons who confessed to strike at 25 different places of the city falling in areas of Shalimar, Ramana, Karachi Company and Golra police stations. They have been identified as Rashid alias Rasti, Nauman and Ramzan while one of the injured accused Haroon is in hospital for treatment.DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddun Syed has appreciated this performance of Shalimar police team especially ASI Muhammad Abdullah and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for members of police team.
