The weather in Karachi turned cold due to light rain and drizzle in different parts of the city on Thursday morning under the influence of a westerly disturbance that caused good rains in lower Sindh, especially Tharparkar, while cool nights are expected ahead, said the Pakistan Meteorological Department.“Light rain under the influence of a westerly disturbance on Thursday morning turned the weather pleasant in Karachi while cool nights are expected in the city with temperatures dropping to 13-14 degrees Celsius,” said Sardar Sarfraz, chief meteorological officer (CMO) of Sindh, while talking to The News. The Met Office said some city areas, including Surjani, received light rain of upto 5mm on Thursday morning while many areas received drizzle.
