CEC on merit

Reportedly the opposition and ruling parties have not agreed upon the names of the CEC proposed by each other. Can’t they find one man of integrity out of the six proposed names? Why must they insist upon the man of their own choice?Nomination and appointment should be done purely on merit and not by mutual selection. And I think the senior most available retired justice of the superior courts should be nominated for such posts.Col (r) Riaz JafriRawalpindi
