Gearing up for the release of Heer Maan Ja this Eid ul Azha, actor-producer Hareem Farooq is presently busy with nationwide promotions of the film. In an interview with Instep, she spoke about how she manages her social media and what her strategy is when it comes to tackling negative comments.“It is very easy to deal with them,” she said, adding that she simply chooses to ignore.“I don’t read the comments myself most of the times,” she added. “But when my team does it for me, it is very clearly instructed to them that if there is any negative comment, ‘delete, block them and report them’. I don’t care if my followers are increasing or decreasing due to this but I can’t stand this negativity, I am sorry. Take it somewhere else, not on my page or with my people. It is very simple.”In the past, Hareem has been bullied due to her weight as well as when she posted pictures that some people found inappropriate. There was a time when she responded to these comments but not anymore. “I feel we can educate our audience; it is going to take time but it is possible,” Hareem asserted. “I am not saying change will come in a day but eventually you have to stop reacting to these things. The more you react, the worse it gets. Just let it be; do whatever you want to.”Coming back to Hareem’s upcoming film, Heer Maan Ja is directed by Azfar Jafri while it is produced by IRK Film and Arif Lakhani Films in association with Geo Films.Read a detailed interview with Hareem Farooq on Heer Maan Ja in Instep on Sunday, tomorrow.
