Towards peace

The release of an IAF pilot by Pakistan was a commendable step taken to end the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India. It’s been almost 71 years, but the Kashmir dispute still stands unresolved. Indian atrocities in India Occupied Kashmir have paralysed life in the valley. India should seriously think about taking the Kashmir issue to the table of diplomacy to avoid the further escalation of events. The Indian media has to stop resorting to jingoism and realise that war is not a solution to any problem. Over the last few days, Pakistani soldiers and civilians have been martyred because of heavy firing on both sides of the LoC. We should strive to create a peaceful society where everyone can live in harmony. Any talks of war must be condemned at all forums.Rana HassanKarachi
