Ring Road projects reviewed

LAHORE : Punjab Minister for Finance Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht chaired a meeting at CM office regarding the under-construction and future plans of Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA).The meeting was attended by Planning and Development Board Chairman Habibur-Rahman, Lahore Commissioner Mujtaba Pracha, Additional Secretary Finance Mujahid Shardil, Head of Punjab Public-Private Partnership Agha Waqar, additional secretary C&W and other representatives from LRRA.The chairman LRRA updated the meeting regarding the present status of Lahore ring road project. The Meeting discussed the project at length and decided to complete the remaining parts including southern 8km loop-III, which was approved by steering committee a day before, loop-IV and the western loop as well.LRRA directed by the chair to come up with the business model and new projects for his sustainability. He also directed the chairman P&D to manage the funds for SL-IV.Oral Health Day: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) organised an awareness camp for students to observe World Oral Health Day (WOHD) here on Thursday.The authority set up a camp inside Govt Pilot Second Girls High School where 38 members team of PFA screened 1,300 students. The team comprising 20 dentists and 18 nutritionists highlighted the importance of the WOHD and gave awareness about the oral health and hygiene issues. The guided the students and participants to keep clean the mouth and teeth for good health. They also shared knowledge with participants to keep teeth whiter and stronger. Moreover, dentists gave lectures on teeth and mouth related diseases.Meanwhile, nutritionists gave awareness to the masses about dietary guidelines after their complete medical examination and nutrition counselling.
