PSL 2019: Lahore Qalanders walking on tight rope to qualify for next round

After getting routed by Islamabad United in the 27th match of HBL Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) fourth season, Lahore Qalanders are walking on a tight rope in order to survive and qualify for their next round. Despite their remarkable performance last night against the Uniteds, the team was unable to match the target, thereby putting them in a difficult spot in order to qualify for the playoffs. The team is currently in a desperate need to not just come out triumphant in tomorrow’s (Monday) match but to thrash Multan Sultans by a massive margin. On the other hand, they are also depending upon Karachi Kings to get defeated in their remaining matches against Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi which would result in Lahore’s position in the tournament getting stabilized.Lahore is at present in possession of six points out of the nine matches they have played whereas Karachi Kings have eight points from eight matches. Quetta is leading the points table with 14 points from nine games while Peshawar is number two with 12 points out of the nine played.Multan Sultans on the contrary, have been eliminated from the play-off contention having earned merely four points out of the nine games.
