New Zealand to observe ‘National Scarf Day’ in solidarity with Christchurch victims on Friday

CHRISTCHURCH: ‘National Scarf Day’ will be observed in New Zealand on Friday to show solidarity with the victims of Christchurch mosque attacks.‘Scarves in Solidarity’ by Anna Thomas who’s one of the organizers nationwide events has arranged this event on Friday to show support with Christchurch victims.The idea of Thomas is to show support and to stand in solidarity with Muslims in New Zealand as on Friday after a week from Christchurch terror attack which left 50 people dead.The organiser of "Scarves in Solidarity" has urged Kiwis, especially women, to wear a scarf and stand with the Muslim community.On social media, this idea is getting very positive response. Thomas says that this act of solidarity will show that women of all religions and races are together against this heinous act.Last Friday, at least 50 Muslim worshipers were martyred by a terrorist in Christchurch mosque while they were praying. Australian terrorist Brenton Tarrant, 28, was charged of murder on Sunday.
