“It’s a passion project,” Mohib Mirza on his directorial debut

Earlier this year, actor turned director Mohib Mirza, who recently appeared in Amin Iqbal’s drama serial Deedan opposite Sanam Saeed, announced his directorial debut, Ishrat – Made In China that he is currently working on. He was recently injured on the set of the film while shooting an action sequence; however, according to his tweet, he is doing better now.Prior to the incident, we spoke to the artist about his upcoming debut film on the sidelines of an event.“It’s a passion project that I have been thinking of working on for long,” Mohib told Instep. “I had to do it at some point. It wasn’t a decision I took overnight; I have done this my entire life. After acting for about 20 years, now I want to express a few things that are within me. This is just another way of expressing myself.”Ishrat – Made In China is an action comedy that reportedly stars Shamoon Abbasi, Sanam Saeed, Ali Kazmi, Sara Loren and Nayyer Ejaz while fashion designer HSY (Hassan Sheheryar Yasin) is said to be essaying the role of an antagonist. However, no official announcement on the film’s cast has been made yet.According to Mohib, the cast and other details will be revealed later this year via proper photo-shoots/posters while the film will release in 2020.
