KARACHI: Left-arm spinner Muhammad Asif grabbed 4-2 to enable holders Federal Areas to record their third win on the trot when they overwhelmed Sindh by seven wickets on the third day of the 8th NBP Disabled T20 Pentangular Cup 2019 here at the RLCA Ground on Wednesday.After opting to bowl first, Federal Areas dismissed Sindh for only 93 with skipper Majid Hussain top-scoring 23. Asif finished with magical figures of 4-2. Federal Areas reached the target in 14.3 overs after losing three wickets. Saifullah Khan chipped in with a 25-ball 32 which had two fours and a six.Hamza Hameed (19) and Mohammad Saqlain (15) were the other prominent contributors. Meanwhile in the other outing, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa defeated Punjab by five wickets. Punjab posted 164-7 with opener Mohammad Shahbaz scoring a rapid 43-ball 90 with eight sixes and seven fours.Abdullah Ijaz made 29 not out with two fours and one six. Off-spinner Haroon Rashid captured 3-32. KP, in response, raced to the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of five wickets. Sajjad Khan made a brilliant 25-ball 55 which contained eight fours and two sixes. Captain Nihar Alam also batted responsibly, making 31-ball 42 with one four. Abdul Jabbar made 38-ball 34 with one four and one six. Left-arm pacer Abdullah Ijaz took 3-39.
