KARACHI: The Asian football governing body (AFC) has said that it has not met any person from the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) which has been formed as a result of the Supreme Court-ordered elections."AFC strongly denies meeting any person(s) from the so-called 'PFF'-which is not recognised by AFC- as alleged in various media reports," the AFC told FIFA-recognised PFF in a letter on Wednesday. "Reports of any such engagement are completely baseless, false and mischievous. Further, AFC has no intention of meeting with anyone from the 'PFF' in Kuala Lumpur as reported by some sections of the Pakistani media."As clearly mentioned on numerous occasions, AFC, as one of the confederations of FIFA, only recognises the Executive Committee led by Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat as the president. "AFC will continue to work closely with the recognised PFF and FIFA in the best interests of Pakistani football," AFC wrote.
