KARACHI: Traffic police have evolved a comprehensive traffic plan to ensure smooth flow of routine traffic during the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) scheduled to be played from March 9 to 17, in Karachi.Hundreds of police officials have been deployed in the city to provide effective security. Five areas have been allocated for parking, include Hakeem Saeed Play Ground, Urdu University, Sunday Bazaar, opposite Bait-ul-Mukarram Masjid in Gulshan.Visitors will be transported to the stadium from the parking area via shuttle service. The visitors are also asked to bring their tickets and original CNICs in order to enter the premises.The board's staff will be on hand to guide visitors to their seats. The stadium can seat about 35,000. Four VIP enclosures will be set up at the venue. After the match, the crowd will be transported back to the marshalling area via the shuttle service.Commuters can travel by using the routes of Agha Khan and Liaquat National Hospital from New Town stop. Sharah-e-Faisal and Rashid Minhas road will also remain open for traffic.According to the police, the road from Karsaz via Hasan Square to Agha Khan Hospital gate number three will remain closed for the commuters.Roads on the backside of the National Stadium will also be closed for the visitors, however; the residents can use these routes by showing their original national identity cards.Citizens travelling to Karsaz and Dalmia would have to use alternative routes. The police diverted heavy traffic from Jail Chorangi and Liaqatabad routes.Police also urged visitors to contact their helpline 1915 or WhatsApp number 03059266907 to avoid any inconvenience.Watch all PSL matches and PSL Live stream on Geo Super
