PESHAWAR: A girl student of grade-6 committed suicide in her house in the limits of the Bhanamari Police Station on Friday. Reports said the 14-year-old girl (M) shot herself with a weapon available at her home. She was rushed to hospital where she succumbed to injuries. Though police did not comment on the incident, some reports said the girl was upset after father admonished her to concentrate on her studies. A few other students had recently committed suicides due to pressure from teachers and parents who were pushing them for better grades.
