Sports gala

Islamabad : After the conclusion of the academic year, a colourful annual sports gala began at Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8 on Tuesday.Students of the college are participating in different sports events, including 'Kabaddi', 100 meters and 400 meters race, long-jump, high-jump, disc throw, hurdle race, badminton and table tennis.During a special ceremony, Principal Professor Mohammad Ali Siddiqui declared the games open.A cricket match was played between teaching and non-teaching staff of the college which was won by teachers.A sports management committee has been constituted with Professor Dr Waseem Ahmed Khan as chairman and Professor Tahir Bhatti and Professor Waseem Raja as members.
