It was encouraging to learn that the current chief justice of Pakistan, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, has taken notice of the 1.9 million cases which are pending across all courts of Pakistan. If reports are to be believed, there are not enough judges in Pakistan who can ensure the timely disposal of court cases.A staggering 25 percent of judicial positions are vacant, due to which to many access to speedy justice remains a dream.Nasir SoomroKarachi
