ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday dismissed the lifetime disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Saifullah Gill. A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed heard the review petition filed by Saifullah Gill.Saifullah Gill was disqualified for lifetime from contesting elections over different dates of birth on the matriculation degree and the Computerised National Identity Card in 2007. He also could not contest 2013 elections and in 2018 elections the Supreme Court barred him from contesting elections under Article 62 and 63. The Supreme Court on Friday accepted Saifullah Gill's review petitions.Justice Ijazul Ahsan asked the counsel for Saifullah whether his client had got corrected the date of birth on his matriculation degree. The counsel replied that his client had got corrected his date of birth. The court sought copy of matriculation degree and disposed of the case.
