Partly cloudy forecast

Partly cloudy weather continued to prevail in the provincial capital here on Thursday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours. Officials said a westerly wave was affecting western and upper parts of the country. They predicted mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, D.I.Khan, Sahiwal, Faisalabad and Lahore, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.Thursday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Skardu where mercury dropped down to -08°C while in Lahore it was 9.9°C and maximum was 24.5°C.
