KARACHI: After losing to China in their opener, Pakistan A created ripples when they defeated Iran 2-0 on the opening day of the Asian Under-21 Beach Volleyball Championship, which exploded into action in Roi Et, Thailand, on Friday.Iran, a strong volleyball nation, failed to offer much resistance to Pakistan, despite having their two top players Afaq and Zarnab, who have a load of experience in international circuit. The set scores were 22-20, 21-13. Pakistan A lost to China 0-2 in their opener. Pakistan B lost to Singapore and Indonesia. On Saturday (today), Pakistan B will face Oman.
