I have no words to appreciate the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, whose relentless efforts resulted in the creation of Pakistan.Today, on March 23, the entire country will celebrate Pakistan Day to pay tributes to the leaders who fought for the freedom of Pakistan. It was on this day that Muslim leaders decided to have a separate state. We hope to see our country free and independent.Javed RustmaniWahi Pandhi*****Today is Pakistan Day, the day when a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent was demanded from the British colonisers. After getting our homeland, we tried our best to undermine it. Our history is replete with examples of how our rulers looted and plundered the country. At present, our ship is sunk deep in the quagmire of ‘foreign debts’ .This day reminds us that we have a long way to go to overcome these problems and make our country a ‘Medina’-like welfare state. To achieve this target, we must shed off our extra weight and live a simple life by adopting austerity measures. We have miles to go before we sleep. Long live Pakistan.Iftikhar MirzaIslamabad
