NCSW holds prize distribution ceremony of special children

Islamabad : National Council of Social of Welfare (NCSW) in collaboration of Directorate General of Special Education organised a seminar titled ‘the role of ‘Appreciation & Encouragement’ in the Social uplift of Special Children on the occasion of the annual prize distribution ceremony of special children at National Special Education Centre for Hearing Impaired Children, says a press release.NCSW Chairman Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik presided the seminar while Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood, was the chief guest.Wajiha Akram, Parliamentary Secretary for M/o Fedderal Education & Professional Training was the guest of honour. Representatives of prominent activists of child rights, civil servants, civil societies, NGOs, parents and students attended the seminar.Shafqat Mehmood has addressed as a chief guest and said that according to the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Directorate General of Special Education (DGSE) is playing a vital and effective role for care and professional training of special children. It is the duty of state to protect the rights of special children. Present government is committed to improve the efficiency of state’s institutions. Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies, state’s institutions, teachers and parents can play active role in order to improve the conditions of special children. It is our collective social responsibility to appreciate and encourage our special children for the sake of their welfare.
