Nauman, Bilal, Zubair, Ashar move ahead in Westbury Open

KARACHI: Nauman Aftab, Bilal Soomro, Zubair Raja, and Ashar Mir moved into the second round of men’s singles in the 17th Westbury Open at D A Creek Club here on Sunday.Nauman thrashed Amir Qamar 6-1, 6-2 in the first round of this Sindh ranking tennis championship. Bilal beat Haseebullah 7-5, 6-4; Zubair smashed Shuaib Abbas 6-1, 6-0; and Ashar defeated Asim Gul 6-1, 6-1.Ashar beat Mazhar 6-2, 6-3 in the second round of udner-17 singles.In the second round of under-15 singles, Haris Tariq thrashed Ayan Khan 6-0, 6-4 and Yahya Ehtisham won against Danish Naseer 6-3, 7-5. In the second round of under-13 singles, Zain Ehtisham smashed Dhuruf Das 6-0, 6-0. In the second round of under-11 singles, Ahsan Ahmed beat Ibrahim Sajjad 4-2, 4-1.
