Mera Rab Waris will go on air on March 7

As Faysal Qureshi and Madiha Imam-starrer Baba Jani comes to an end, a new play is all set to go on air on Geo Entertainment. The upcoming play, titled Mera Rab Waris, also features Madiha Imam, who will be seen opposite Danish Taimoor. The play is scheduled to commence from Thursday, March 7.Directed by Asad Jabal and penned by Jahanzeb Qamar, Mera Rab Waris features Seemi Pasha, Abid Ali, Tanveer Jamal, Fazila Qazi, Zain Baig, Shameen Khan and Hira Hussain - aside from Danish and Madiha.Mera Rab Waris follows the story of Ayesha, essayed by Madiha, who is very religious as well as meek. She comes in contact with Haris, played by Danish, who comes from a liberal family. The two end up marrying each other but begin to experience problems in their marriage that leads to differences. How the two cope up with the situation, whether they part ways or stay together, we will know once the drama goes on air.In an earlier interview with Instep, Madiha revealed about her character Ayesha and said, “Ayesha is a young girl who is very close to the Creator and practices her religion (Islam). She has a degree in Islamic History and is a Hafiza e Quran. Her conduct reflects that more than her words. She is a modern-day, opinionated woman who goes out, drives a car and is progressive.”The play is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment that has a number of blockbuster dramas to its credit such as Khaani, Ghar Titli Ka Par and Mera Khuda Janay.
