Islamabad : The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan in the backdrop of evolving geo-strategic situation on the eve of forthcoming Pakistan Day Parade held an important meeting.According to details, the IGP Islamabad held a high level huddle, which was attended by DIG (Security) Waqar Ahmad Chohan, DIG (Headquarters) Sarfraz Ahmad Falki, DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud Din Syed, SSP (Security) Muhammad Suleman, SSP (ITP) Farrukh Rasheed, AIG (Operations) Sardar Ghias Gul and high officials from other law enforcement agencies.During meeting the IGP Islamabad thread-barely discussed issues related to security, on-going search and combing operations, checking at ‘nakas’/filtration points, traffic issues, coordination with all stake holders.The IGP maintained that all out security arrangements should be made for prevention of any untoward incident. He further highlighted this significant event and said that checking at nakas/filtration points should be made with mere minimum level risk.He further said that this event may be conducted as National Duty with full vigour and zeal. Checking of Madaras, hotels, motels, ‘katchi abadis’ should be continued.
