His countrymen, Pat Cummins who took 14 wickets has also moved up 13 places to the seventh spot.Several South African players too have benefited from a top-notch series against Sri Lanka. Quinton de Kock's was at the peak of his power in the 5-0 series victory, having registered a ton and 3 half-centuries in the series, helping him push to the number-four spot in the current ODI rankings His skipper, Faf du Plessis, has also jumped a place up to number five and Imran Tahir has gained seven slots and moved to the fourth spot in the bowler's rankings.The spectacular comeback of Chris Gayle where he smashed England bowlers all around the park and scored 424 runs, including two superlative tons has helped him move up 35 places to the 41st position in the batsmen's rankings. The other major beneficiaries have been Kedhar Jadhav and Martin Guptill. Jadhav attained his career-best ranking of 24 after a match-winning performance in Hyderabad against Australia and Guptill has entered top-10 after a brilliant series against Bangladesh.Meanwhile, Indian captain Virat Kohli and his countrymen, Jasprit Bumrah continue their domination in the ICC ODI rankings by prolonging their stay as the top-ranked batsman and bowler respectively in the latest released rankings.Virat's deputy in the ODI team, Rohit, has managed to retain the second spot after an average series against Australia. Australia's ODI series victory against India has pushed them above Pakistan to number fifth rank whereas New Zealand have surprisingly leapfrogged South Africa to take the third spot.
