MUMBAI: Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has been under staunch criticism over social media after he was seen ‘Mankading’ Jos Buttler at the crease, during the game between Kings XI Punjab vs. Rajasthan at the Indian Premier League (IPL). On Monday night, the cricket fraternity expressed anger on social media when Punjab team's captain and off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Royal team’s batsman Buttler by ‘mankading’ him.Ashwin who was bowling his fourth over, saw Buttler walking out of crease. Before delivering the ball, Ashwin stopped and took the bails. Buttler had scored 68 off 42 balls with 10 fours and two sixes at that time which was an outstanding performance by him before he was ‘mankaded’ by Ashwin.But after Ashwin ‘mankaded’ Buttler, the England wicket keeper was left stunned and angry on the decision of 'out' flashed on big screen taken by the Kings XI Punjab skipper.Later on eminent cricket stars took on twitter to show their anger, majority of the social media was against the decision of Ashwin.The former Australian cricketer Shane Warne tweeted:“So disappointed in @ashwinravi99 as a Captain & as a person. All captains sign the #IPL wall & agree to play in the spirit of the game. RA had no intention of delivering the ball - so it should have been called a dead ball. Over to u BCCI - this a not a good look for the #IPL” England cricketer Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy and others also expressed their anger over the decision by tweeting.
