Friends co-creator reveals why a reunion of the show should be forgotten once and for all

Loved by people of all ages in every part of the world, one of the most successful sitcom to ever be produced in America, Friends, has time and again only listened to one demand put forth by the plethora of fans everywhere –a reunion.Addressing this long withstanding demand by the show’s army of fans, co-creator Marta Kauffman finally revealed why the world should let go of the idea of the sitcom’s reunion, once and for all. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Marta revealed: “There are several reasons. One, the show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It's not that time anymore. All we'd be doing is putting those six actors back together, but the heart of the show would be gone. Two, I don't know what good it does us. The show is doing just fine, people love it. [A reunion] could only disappoint. 'The One Where Everyone's Disappointed."She goes on to talk about the perpetual popularity of the show existing even decades after its release, saying: “These are trying times, and certain people want the comfort food rather than the difficult, mean-spirited kind of show. It's warm, it's cozy, (the characters) love each other. What's not to love about that?"
