LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Col (r) Hashim Dogar has said the government is going to introduce a system of e-registration of married couples to approach a large number of couples for the delivery of family planning services.It is the need of the hour to check the massive increase in population and make family planning effective, he said while talking to a delegation of officers of Population Welfare Department here on Friday.The minister said that e-registration of married couples would be helpful for the social mobilisers and outreach workers of the department to approach more married persons. He directed the workers of family health centres to become more active so that more and more people could be made awareness of the birth control measures.He was briefed that an amount of Rs 57 crore had been approved for the project and work would be started soon on it. Health professionals’ training: The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) on Friday completed three-day training of health professionals of 29 category-I hospitals.The health professionals serving in the category-I public and private hospitals were trained on the minimum service delivery standards (MSDS). Punjab Healthcare Commission Director Clinical Governance Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Salariya, Additional Director (Trainings) Dr Majid Latif, Deputy Director (Trainings) Dr Shafiq-ur-Rehman and Dr Imtiaz Ali were the trainers.They trained the health professionals on access, assessment and continuity of care, care of patients, management of medication, patient rights and education, hospital infection control, continuous quality improvement, responsibilities of management, facility management and safety, human resource management and information management system.
