KARACHI: DHL thrashed Engro 6-0 here on Saturday and earned a chance to represent Pakistan in the Standard Chartered Trophy Road to Anfield Tournament finals to be held in May at Anfield, home of English Premier League team Liverpool FC, in United Kingdom.As many as 23 teams from Karachi and Lahore participated in the qualifying round.The Standard Chartered Trophy Road to Anfield is an international five-a-side football tournament that provides a platform to actively engage football fans.“We are delighted to organise the SC Trophy in Pakistan for our clients. The Standard Chartered Trophy Road to Anfield tournament represents a great opportunity for our clients to get a once-in-a-life time chance to experience and play at Anfield,” CEO Standard Chartered Bank, Shazad Dada said.The side from Pakistan will be playing against teams from Hong Kong, Korea, India, Bangladesh, Ghana, Kenya and United Kingdom.All the participating teams will also attend an English Premier League match at Anfield and will also receive professional training session from Liverpool FC coaches to help them prepare for the tournament.
