Court moved against ‘unethical’ ad

LAHORE: A writ petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) questioning "unethical advertisement" launched by a website-based cab service.Sidra Ijaz Advocate has filed the petition through her counsel Sajjad Hussain Chohan, pleading that a couple of days ago, a new ad was launched to promote a bike service by encouraging girls to run away from their weddings. The petitioner says the slogan is apathetic, unethical and against the injunctions of Islam. No religion in the world allows or encourages such kind of immoral instigation and acts. He requests the court to direct the administration to remove the ad from social media, website and signboards, etc.
