KARACHI: In order to honour Lyari football team's grand win at the prestigious U-19 Qatar football World Cup, Sindh Government has announced to make available a proper football pitch to promote the sport in football-mad Lyari. Moreover, a cash prize of 100,000 each for the boys and 200,000 for coaches of Karachi United was also announced by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Pakistan People's Party's Senator Murtaza Wahab said in a tweet. “Boys who brought glory to Lyari & Pakistan from Qatar in the Football Competition met CM Sindh today. Sindh Govt has announced a cash prize of 100,000 each for the boys & 200,000 each for the coaches. Green football pitch will also be made available. Well done #PPP & #SindhGovt." The world cup champions met with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Thursday. The little footballers outplayed the opponents in the final by defeating Aspire Club in Under -19 football tournament in Qatar on 14th march. The series of the tournament were awarded to Karachi United on the basis of aggregate.
