Choose your dreams

Choosing a career is one of important decision a person will ever make. Like me, all young students are looking for a better career opportunity. Unfortunately in Pakistan where the literacy rate is quite low, 26 percent of students make their way to higher education and 74 percent drop out due to many reasons. Peoples have less information about career diversity and parents generally know only two fields: medicine and engineering.I do realize that parents encourage their children into such fields due to financial considerations. But even doctors and engineers are unemployed in Pakistan these days. Perhaps, we need to tell our children that other fields too are perfectly good to study. Every profession has its value. Do what you love to follow your dreams.Rabia Badar Ud DinKarachi
