Beijing: China has welcomed exchange of goodwill between Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.In a regular press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang “China has noted relevant reports of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and Indian counterpart Narendra Modi’s message and welcomes the exchange of goodwill between the two leaders.” The spokesperson said “China supports India and Pakistan in continuing contact and dialogue to restore stability, resolve differences and improve relations.”He went on to say “China will continue to play a constructive role in this regard.”Prime Minister Imran Khan, on the eve of Pakistan Day (March 23) received message from Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.PM Imran took to Twitter saying, “Received message from Indian Prime Minister Narendra.”Modi extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of Pakistan on the National Day of Pakistan, Imran Khan said.“It is time that people of Sub-continent work together for a democratic, peaceful, progressive & prosperous region, in an atmosphere free of terror and violence," Modi told PM Imran Khan.Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed PM Modi's message to Pakistani people. He said "As we celebrate Pakistan Day I believe it is time to begin a comprehensive dialogue with India to address and resolve all issues, especially the central issue of Kashmir, and forge a new relationship based on peace and prosperity for all our people."
