Aqeel, Huzaifa, Muzammil, Yousaf into semis

KARACHI: Aqeel Khan, Huzaifa Abdul Rehman, Muzammil Murtaza and Yousaf Khan stormed into the semi-finals of All Pakistan Open Tennis Championships at the Officers services mess in Jhelum on Friday.Aqeel beat Shahzad Khan 6-4, 6-4, Huzaifa stunned Mudassir Murtaza 4-6, 6-2, 7-5, Muzammil defeated M Shoaib 6-0, 6-2, and Yousaf won against M Abid 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the quarter-finals.Similarly, Aqib Hayat beat Sami Zaib 6-3, 6-4, Abdullah Adnan defeated M Zaryab 6-0, 6-4, and Ahmed Kamil won against M Bilal 6-3, 4-6, 10-5 in the quarter-finals of boys’ under-18 singles.In the quarter-finals of boys’ under-14 singles, Huzaima overpowered Bilal Asim 1-4, 5-4 (5), 5-4 (5).
