Actor and director Sarmad Khoosat, whose full-length debut film, Manto garnered critical acclaim and accolades, announced a few months ago that he has two films in the pipeline – his first ever Punjabi film and second Urdu feature film. Recent reports confirm that one of the two movies – Zindagi Tamasha – is ready and has been cleared by the three censor boards and is slated to release by the end of this year.Directed and co-produced by Sarmad along with his sister Kanwal Khoosat, Zindagi Tamasha is a bilingual movie, which has been shot in the beautiful city of Lahore. Written by Nirmal Bano, a fresh graduate from NCA, it features model turned actress Eman Suleman, Samiya Mumtaz, Arif Hasan and Ali Qureshi in pivotal roles, while Sarmad will have a special appearance in the upcoming film. This is not all. According to reports, the film’s international premiere is also in the works. This will be the first film to release under the banner of Khoosat Films with the music composed by band Saakin, that recently won an LSA for their song ‘Saqi-e-Bewafa’ in the Best Emerging Talent (Music)category. The release date has not been finalized as yet.– Watch this space for more updates.
