KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Port Qasim Authority (PQA) romped to solid victories on Monday night in their matches of the Naya Nazimabad Ramadan Cup here at the Naya Nazimabad Cricket Ground.NBP conquered Rehman Foundation by 49 runs. After opting to bat first, NBP rode on the heroics of Test stumper Kamran Akmal, who hammered 57-ball 93 with nine fours and six sixes, to 197-5 in the stipulated 20 overs.Kamran Ghulam was the other key contributor who chipped in with a fiery 18-ball 38. Ramiz Raja Junior and and Umar Siddiq scored 29 and 27, respectively. Rehman Foundation were, in reply, folded for 148 with Shahbaz Javed scoring 39 and Yawar Bashir making 37. Tariq Nawaz scored 21.In the second outing at the same venue, PQA routed inexperienced KK Panthers by 72 runs. Haris Ali Khan (60) and Mohammad Waqas (60) struck fine fifties to guide PQA to 180-5. KK Panthers were skittled out, in reply, for 108 with tale-ender Faraz Aziz making 23 not out.
