We’re all familiar with counting minutes and even seconds to the evening meal and questioning and planning what to break our fast with. And when it comes down to the myriad of food options, Pakistanis surely know how to serve up an amazing spread.Many restaurants and cafes that offer all-you-can-eat deals and scrumptious iftar dinner buffets of various cuisines and multiple dishes which doesn’t make the decision of what to have for iftari any easier. Similarly, Asia Live at Avari Towers Hotel, Karachi, has come out with a special iftar dinner buffet featuring number of delicious food items.The restaurant is an all day casual dining outlet overlooking the poolside and lush tropical gardens of the hotel with a classical Mogul decorative theme. It is enhanced by a spacious open show kitchen with smoking pungent Tandoor ovens and panoramic floor to ceiling windows which wash the entire area with natural light.For its iftar menu, they are serving assorted vegetables pakoras, shami kebab, fried chicken wings, Vegetable spring rolls, assorted samosas, Fattayer, Almond stuffed dates, dahi phulki, chana chaat, bhail puri, chana tarkari, fruit chaat, halwa puri, kachori, pani puri including chutneys and all condiments. Once you are done with the iftar, the real feast awaits at the dinner buffet. The buffet is quite expansive with an array of dishes representing different cuisines around the world served to a 200-seating space. The menu kicks off with a salad bar and a selection of International Cheese board with nuts and water biscuits. The cuisines include Pakistani, Chinese, Thai, European, Italian, Mexican, and Arabic.Some of the highlights include traditional desi dishes from barbecue items to curries and meat such as Mutton Kuna, Palak Paneer and Dumpukhet. For Chinese, there are seafood platters, steaks, noodles and assorted steamed dumplings. An array of Thai curries also tempts one to try them all, but for that you have to control yourself from trying other dishes. For those looking for a simple and comforting meal will find options in European cuisine like Beef Wellington, Hot-pot Lancashire, grilled chicken, red snapper along with assorted glazed vegetables and oven Baked Cheese Potatoes. Also, if you want to find something light, you can try some Mexican such as tacos along with salsa and guacamole. As for the adventurous ones, there is assorted Sushi and Sashimi available in the Japanese category. While you must be stuffed after this; there is still an international dessert counter that offers delectable sweet dishes and Pakistani desserts too.
