ISLAMABAD: Many people were injured in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) due to brutal forces action on protesters in Budgam district.According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on protesters in Sumbal area of Bandipora district against molestation of a minor girl in Magam area of Budgam district. As many as twenty injured were referred to the nearby Magam hospital for treatment.Talking to media, in-charge doctor at Magam hospital Dr Taha said that at least 20 people sustained major injuries and were referred to Bemina hospital. The protest rally was called by the youth welfare society Magam and the Shalimar Sumo stand union in Magam. Protestors were carrying placards reading, Hang the culprit , and shouted slogans demanding death to the accused.Later, the APHC leader Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi visited the town and addressed the gathering in Magam. Kashmiris have seen in the past how culprits are being shielded by the agencies, but these things would not be tolerated anymore, he said. He said in case of 8-year Kathua girl, people have seen how justice is being denied in Occupied Kashmir.Meanwhile, forceful protests were also held at Sumbal in Bandipora on Sunday against the molestation of the three-year-old girl. The protest was led by Hurriyat leader Masroor Abbass Ansari and several other religious and social activists demanding that the inquiry be completed on fast-track basis.Kashmir University students during a peaceful protest demonstration against the horrific incident held a sit-in near Allama Iqbal Library and then marched towards Humanities Block, inside the Varsity premises, carrying placards mostly of which read, ‘Punish the Guilty and Justice for Victim’. Demanding death penalty to the culprit they said, we ask the authorities to hang the culprit to stop such cases in the future.Meanwhile the Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Mohammad Faisal on Monday strongly condemning the rape of a three-year-old Kashmiri girl in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) said the incident was "another brutal reminder of humanitarian nightmare".The spokesman said fresh reports of pellet gun firing on protestors were yet another reflection of continued Indian atrocities. According to another report Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two innocent Kashmiri youth in Shopian district of Indian Held Kashmir (IOK) on Monday.The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Satipora area of the district, Kashmir Media Service reported. The martyred youth were identified as Basharat Ahmad and Tariq Ahmad. Police claimed that Tariq Ahmad, a resident of Khasipora, was a former Special Police Officer, who joined armed struggle in April, last year.The killing triggered clashes between local youth and the forces personnel in the area. The authorities snapped Internet services in the southern district. Troops also launched a search operation in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district.
