Asim Abbasi begins shooting his next film

Director of last year’s critically and commercially acclaimed feature film, Cake that recently made it to Netflix, Asim Abbasi is gearing up for his next. He recently took to social media and announced that he is returning to set for the shoot of his second film that will have some of the crew members from Cake, in addition to some new ones.“Last time I was on set was May 2017 for Cake’s London spell,” he recalled. “Two years and one film later, I will be on set from tomorrow for a long, long stretch. Beyond the butterflies in my tummy and the sick in my mouth, I am not sure what I feel right now. But I sure am grateful to be reunited with my old film family – Mo Azmi, Aarij, Faiz, Zoobia, Samiya, Zarmeen, Nadeem, Zeeshan, Syed Mehdi and some top-class new additions Saqib, Shahrukh, Sana, Owais and Nabil.
